DISNEY TOUR

In May 2014, I had the opportunity to go and dance in Disneyland Paris with my dance school to represent England. We got given the news about going to dance on tour within Disneyland in January 2014, then all the hard work started. We originally had to learn 10 dance routines for 1 show within the space a few months, but then it got harder as Disney rang my dance school and asked us to put another show on straight after the 1st show. This then meant that we had to learn another new 7 routines, as you are not allowed to perform the same dance again.
Time soon flew by after rehearsals day after day we were all excited as it became the end of April. It then dawned on us that we were setting off to Disneyland the next day and will soon be performing in Disneyland were dreams are made.
On the 1st May 2014, at 4 pm the final rehearsal began just hours before we set off. It was then when we knew that this was going to be a trip of a lifetime that we may never get the opportunity to go again. As soon as the clocks hit 7 pm the rehearsals finished and we went home to get all refreshed, so that we could be back to hit the road at 8.30 pm.
None of us could contain our excitement as we all stood in the driveway with out suitcases and costumes awaiting for the 4 coaches to pull up. All of the younger ones started to sing some Disney songs at the top of their lungs.....
Then the coaches turned up so we put all the luggage underneath the coach and hop on board for the long journey ahead to Paris. Before we knew it we were there and hit the Disney parks to get the most out of the rest of day that was left, and then headed back to the hotel to change for the meal to celebrate....
The next morning was the day of the shows, which we couldn't wait for. We got picked up by Disney and left the adults and other children that weren't performing back at the hotel as they could have then morning within the parks. We pulled up in the cast car parks as unloaded the coach and carried our costumes to where we were performing. We were CAST for the day!!
Never did I ever think that this would happen to me, that I would be performing with my friends in Disneyland!!
The dressing rooms were amazing and before we knew it we got given our 15 minute call before we had to be on stage. The excitement flooded the rooms and we headed down to the stage. I could see from the start of the stage that the crowds were gathering as the speakers went off announcing our dance school. The lights dimmed and the crowds roared.... then the music hit and it was time for the show to begin. I had the best time of my life and that was just with the 1st show. As soon as the 1st show ended we headed back to our dressing rooms to prepare for the 2nd show; it was time to hit the stage again before we knew it. I didn't want it to end.....
After the shows ended we gathered our things and headed back to the coach which then took us to the park entrance where all our families were waiting. When we all walked through the gates they cheered and clapped us to say well done, as they were proud of how well we had done. We then had the rest of the day to ourselves to go on rides and watch the parades which are amazing to watch as the CAST came up to us and congratulated us on our performances as they knew we were in our uniform we had to wear on the day of the show. That night, in order to celebrate the whole of us went and watched the fireworks and light show which is projected onto the Disney castle.
We had the whole of Sunday within the parks until they closed and then it was time for us to head back to the hotel and back onto the coaches for the journey back home.
I had the best experience I could have ever asked for.
We may be going back again to re-perform in 2015!!
THEY WANT US BACK...............
